Apple Music 7.0 for Android Rolls Out With Liquid Glass Redesign

• Apple Music 7.0 brings a Liquid Glass-inspired redesign and a new app icon to Android
• The update adds a floating translucent bottom bar, refreshed artist pages and a blue accent colour.
• Apple Music 7.0 is widely rolling out through the Play Store after a month of beta testing.

Apple Music 7.0 is rolling out for Android with a Liquid Glass redesign, a new app icon and changes across the interface. The update brings several visual details in line with Apple Music on newer Apple software, while keeping the Now Playing screen largely unchanged.

The redesign updates navigation, artist pages, the Library tab and Settings. Apple Music 7.0 also aligns its version number with iOS 27. After about a month of beta testing, the update is now widely available through the Google Play Store.

Apple Music 7.0 Gets a New Icon and Blue Accent Colour

The Apple Music app icon has been tweaked. The music note now appears in black or white, depending on the device theme, and the red background has been removed. The app also uses blue as its accent colour instead of the earlier red styling.

Floating Bottom Bar and Mini-Player Get a Liquid Glass Look

Apple Music 7.0 introduces a floating bottom navigation bar with slight translucency. It allows some colours from the content behind it to show through and leaves more of the surrounding screen visible.

The mini-player has a similar translucent look and is no longer attached to the bottom navigation bar. Unlike the iOS version, the Android bar does not shrink into a more compact layout when users scroll.

Edge-to-Edge Design Updates Android System Bars

The update brings an edge-to-edge layout to Android’s status and navigation bars. This lets the app content extend into those areas, creating a more continuous layout across the screen.

Apple Music 7.0 Refreshes Top Bars and Menus

Page titles and the overflow menu now sit on the same line in the updated top bars. The three-dot menu icons have also moved into circular containers and no longer use the earlier red theme.

Library Tab Adds Edit Pins and Edit Categories

The Library tab has new organisation options in its three-dot menu. Users can now find “Edit Pins” and “Edit Categories” there, making these controls easier to locate when changing the way their library is arranged.

Artist Pages Get a Full Redesign

Artist pages have received one of the most noticeable changes in Apple Music 7.0. The background now takes its theme from the artist’s cover image, while a prominent play button makes playback easier to start.

The artist information page has also been updated, and the share button now sits in the top-right corner. The layout follows the broader design direction used in the iOS version.

Settings Gets Better Grouping, but Now Playing Stays the Same

The Settings page has a more modern layout with options grouped more clearly. However, the Now Playing screen has not received major changes in this update.

Apple Music 7.0 Rollout and iOS 27 Version Alignment

Apple Music for Android recently moved to a versioning system that aligns with iOS. Version 7.0 matches iOS 27 and follows around a month of beta testing. The stable update is now widely rolling out through the Play Store, though availability can vary as the release reaches users.
