Galaxy A54 Android 17 Update Finally Rolls Out Globally

• Samsung has started the Galaxy A54 Android 17 update rollout in India and other countries.
• The 294.43MB stable update carries firmware A546EXXUNGZJ5 and the October 2026 security patch.
• One UI 9.0 adds Health tools, Quick Panel controls, privacy alerts and accessibility improvements.

The Galaxy A54 Android 17 update has started rolling out in India and several other countries. Samsung is offering the stable One UI 9.0 update, based on Android 17, after its earlier release in South Korea last month. The update brings interface changes, new health features and improvements to privacy and accessibility.

The rollout appears to be starting with Galaxy A54 units enrolled in Samsung’s One UI 9.0 beta programme. This means users who took part in the beta may receive the stable version first. Other users can wait for the update notification or check for it manually in the phone’s settings.

What One UI 9.0 Brings to the Galaxy A54

The Galaxy A54 One UI 9.0 update brings several changes to the phone’s interface and Samsung apps. The Quick Panel is now more customisable. Users can resize the brightness and volume sliders, resize the media player, and rearrange controls based on their needs. A separate sound mode button is also included.

Samsung Health Gets More Tracking Features

Samsung Health receives a redesigned interface with clearer charts and customisable home screen cards. The app also makes health data logging quicker and improves trend analysis. These changes are intended to make health information easier to review and record.

The updated app adds daily heart health scores and cardio load tracking. It also includes a Fitness Index and hearing tracking. Together, these additions expand the health information that users can monitor through Samsung Health. The redesigned charts and home screen cards also give users more control over how this information is presented.

Warranty, Privacy and Accessibility Changes

One UI 9.0 adds a Warranty and care menu. Galaxy A54 owners can use it to check warranty information and run device diagnostics. This gives users a dedicated place to review warranty details and check the phone’s condition.

The update also improves privacy controls. A blue indicator appears when an app accesses the phone’s location. Samsung has added a quicker way to lock the phone and disable biometric unlocking. This can help users secure the device more quickly when needed.

Accessibility features also receive several upgrades. Text spotlight enlarges and highlights selected text to make it easier to read. Select to speak can read or describe on-screen content aloud. The update also adds physical keyboard shortcuts and improves mouse controls, giving users more ways to interact with the phone.

Bixby and Lock Screen Improvements

Bixby gets new conversation management options and a home screen widget. These changes offer additional ways to manage interactions with Samsung’s assistant and access it from the home screen.

The lock screen clock has also been redesigned. It can adapt to the wallpaper, helping the clock fit the background image. These changes add to the personalisation options included in One UI 9.0.
