The Galaxy A55 One UI 9 stable update is now reaching beta users in India, as Samsung expands the rollout beyond South Korea. The update is based on Android 17 and carries firmware version A556EXXUIEZJ1, with a download size of over 300MB for users moving from the beta version.

The stable release brings improved customisation options and a smarter Bixby, along with Android 17 changes. Users who did not join the beta programme may receive a larger update package later, while more regions, including Europe and the US, are expected to follow in the coming days.

Galaxy A55 One UI 9 Update Reaches India

Samsung first released the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A55 in South Korea last week. The rollout has now widened to India, where reports indicate that the update is reaching users who participated in the One UI 9 beta programme.

The Indian firmware version is A556EXXUIEZJ1, and the download is over 300MB for beta users. People using the previous stable software rather than the beta may need to download a larger package, as it will include the changes introduced since their current software version.

The rollout is happening in stages, so the update may not appear on every eligible Galaxy A55 at the same time. Users can check manually through the phone’s Software update menu.

What Does One UI 9 Bring to the Galaxy A55?

One UI 9 is based on Android 17. Samsung’s update brings improved interface customisation options and a smarter Bixby assistant, along with the underlying changes included in the new Android version.

The update is the stable release following the beta programme. If you want to follow the phone’s earlier testing stages, read our report on the Galaxy A55 One UI 9 beta update. Samsung has also started expanding the stable software to other Galaxy A-series phones, including the Galaxy A35 One UI 9 stable update.

Galaxy A55 One UI 9 Rollout: More Regions Expected

India is the latest market mentioned in the wider rollout, but availability remains limited by region and rollout stage. Users in Europe and the US are expected to receive the stable update in the coming days. A specific release date for each market has not been confirmed.

If the update is not available on your phone yet, check again later. A staged rollout means that two Galaxy A55 devices in the same country may receive the update at different times.

How to Download Galaxy A55 One UI 9

Follow these steps to check whether the stable update is available for your Galaxy A55:

• ⚙️ Open Settings on your Galaxy A55.
• 📲 Tap Software update.
• 🔎 Select Check for updates.
• ⬇️ If the update appears, download it and wait for the download to finish.
• 🔋 Make sure the phone has at least 30% battery before starting installation.
• 🔄 Tap Restart now when prompted and wait for the phone to reboot.

If no update is shown, it may not have reached your device yet. Check again later rather than assuming that your phone is ineligible.

Conclusion

Samsung has started a wider stable One UI 9 rollout for the Galaxy A55, with beta users in India now receiving Android 17-based firmware A556EXXUIEZJ1. The update is over 300MB for beta users, and non-beta users may receive a larger package. More regions are expected to follow, so Galaxy A55 owners can check the Software update menu as availability expands.
