iPhone 18 Battery Leak Shows Bigger Capacity Than iPhone 18 Pro

• A leak claims the eSIM-only iPhone 18 battery may be 4,430mAh, reportedly larger than the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro.
• The leaked 4,430mAh capacity is around 20% above Apple’s listed 3,692mAh eSIM-only iPhone 17 battery; India versions may differ.
• A $999 starting price is expected, but Apple has not confirmed the phone.

The iPhone 18 battery capacity has appeared in a new leak, with the eSIM-only model without a SIM tray reportedly getting 4,430mAh. If accurate, that would be larger than the 4,288mAh reported for the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro. An India version with a SIM tray may carry a smaller battery, so capacities may differ by region. These figures are leaked or reported and not confirmed.

The leaked figure would also mark a notable increase over the iPhone 17. However, these details are not confirmed by Apple. Battery capacity alone also does not show how long a phone will last on a charge.

iPhone 18 Battery Leak and Expected Specifications

The iPhone 18 battery is reportedly listed at 4,430mAh for an eSIM-only model without a SIM tray. That is 142mAh more than the 4,288mAh battery reported for the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro, or about 3.3% higher on paper. Apple’s listed 3,692mAh iPhone 17 figure is for its eSIM-only model. An India version with a SIM tray may carry a smaller battery, so these numbers may differ by region. The figures remain leaked or reported and are not confirmed. The comparison with the iPhone 17 is shown below.

iPhone 17 vs iPhone 18 Specifications

iPhone 18 Battery Compared With iPhone 17 and iPhone 18 Pro

The leaked iPhone 18 battery capacity is around 20% higher than Apple’s listed iPhone 17 figure, with both numbers tied to eSIM-only models. The 4,430mAh iPhone 18 leak is for an eSIM-only phone without a SIM tray; the 4,288mAh iPhone 18 Pro figure is reported for its eSIM-only model, and the iPhone 17’s listed 3,692mAh is for its eSIM-only model. An India version with a SIM tray may carry a smaller battery, so capacities may differ by region. These leaked and reported figures are not confirmed.

Apple lists the iPhone 17 eSIM-only model’s battery at 3,692mAh. Compared with that figure, the leaked 4,430mAh capacity for the eSIM-only iPhone 18 represents an increase of about 19.99%, rounded to 20.0%. The reported 4,288mAh iPhone 18 Pro capacity is also for its eSIM-only model and would be around 16.1% higher. An India version with a SIM tray may carry a smaller battery, so figures may differ by region. The leak and reported capacities are not confirmed.

iPhone 18 Price Expected at $999

The iPhone 18 is expected to cost $999. A known leaker has also reportedly indicated that the price will go up. The expected price and reported increase have not been confirmed by Apple.

A Bigger Battery Does Not Guarantee Longer Battery Life

Battery capacity and battery life are not the same. A larger battery does not, by itself, prove that the iPhone 18 will deliver longer runtime. Actual battery life depends on more than the capacity figure, so the leak cannot confirm how long the phone will last between charges.

Apple has not announced the iPhone 18 or confirmed any of these specifications. The battery size, expected price and other details should be treated as unconfirmed until the company makes an official announcement.

Conclusion

A leak claims the iPhone 18 battery may be 4,430mAh, which would be larger than both the iPhone 17 and the reported iPhone 18 Pro battery. A $999 price is expected, but Apple has not confirmed these details. The leak also does not establish the phone’s real-world battery life.
