What Does One UI 9.0 Add?

One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17 and adds several Galaxy AI-powered features. The US release notes highlight My FanCam, Now Brief, Call Brief and Creative Studio, along with broader user experience improvements.

My FanCam

My FanCam can automatically track a selected person in a recorded video and keep that person centred as the scene changes. Samsung places the feature inside Gallery, where users can select a video and choose Galaxy AI followed by My FanCam.

Now Brief

Now Brief gets new generative and editable cards that let users customise parts of their daily summaries. The update includes cards covering areas such as health, weather and video.

Call Brief

Call Brief displays relevant events and other information as cards on the call screen. Users can access this information without leaving the ongoing call.

Creative Studio

Creative Studio can suggest image-generation ideas linked to upcoming events. For example, Samsung says users may see a suggestion for a themed image or greeting when a friend’s birthday is approaching.
