The site owner’s view is that paying close to Rs 80,000 for a phone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1 raises questions about value at this price point. This OPPO Reno16 5G price hike makes the revised asking prices important to consider alongside that value question.

What the New OPPO Reno16 5G Prices Mean

The 8GB + 256GB option is now priced at Rs 72,999, while the 12GB + 256GB option reaches Rs 79,999. The increase is Rs 6,000 for the first variant and Rs 7,000 for the second.

What Buyers Should Consider After the Price Change

With this OPPO Reno16 5G price hike, the difference between the two listed configurations remains Rs 7,000 at the revised prices. Buyers comparing the variants should first decide which memory configuration suits their needs, then consider the new price rather than relying on the earlier rate. The previous price is useful for understanding the size of the increase, but it is no longer the price shown in the updated comparison.

The 8GB + 256GB model has increased by Rs 6,000, while the 12GB + 256GB model has gone up by Rs 7,000. That means the higher configuration has received the larger absolute increase. Both changes take effect on the same date, 22 October 2026, so the table above gives a direct comparison of the previous and revised prices for each option.

Anyone reviewing the OPPO Reno16 5G price hike should keep the distinction between the two variants in mind. The starting listed price is now Rs 72,999, and choosing the 12GB + 256GB version takes the price to Rs 79,999. The figures provided here describe the change in recommended retail price; they do not establish whether a retailer may offer a separate promotion or discount.

It is also worth separating the confirmed price change from personal value judgements. The site owner’s comment raises a question about paying close to Rs 80,000 for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1 combination. That is an opinion on the price-to-specification balance, rather than an additional claim about the phone’s performance. Buyers can weigh that concern against their own requirements and budget without assuming any unlisted feature or offer.

For product announcements and company information, buyers can visit the official OPPO India website. Before making a decision, check the exact configuration and the applicable price at the point of purchase. This is particularly relevant after a price revision, when older listings or references may still show the earlier amount.

Conclusion

OPPO has raised Reno16 5G prices in India by Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000, depending on the variant. The updated rates take effect on 22 October 2026, with the 12GB + 256GB model now listed at Rs 79,999.
