OnePlus 16R Rumoured With Powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 16GB RAM and 9000mAh Battery

• OnePlus 16R is tipped to feature a 185Hz 1.5K LTPO OLED display.
• Leaks suggest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
• A 9,000mAh battery, 100W charging and India launch window remain unconfirmed rumours.

The OnePlus 16R is reportedly being considered for an India launch towards the end of 2026, with a set of high-end specifications circulating in leaks. The phone has not been announced by OnePlus, so the display, chipset, cameras, battery and expected price below should all be treated as unconfirmed.

A report published on October 7, 2026, points to a 185Hz screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 9,000mAh battery. These details could make the device stand out if accurate, but there is no official product page or launch confirmation yet.

OnePlus 16R Specifications (Rumoured)

The reported display combines a 1.5K resolution with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. A higher refresh rate can make supported animations and games appear smoother, though actual results depend on software support and the final hardware. The LTPO OLED panel itself has not been confirmed by OnePlus.

Rumoured Camera Setup

The camera leak mentions a 200MP main sensor alongside a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. If accurate, the telephoto camera could help with distant subjects and portraits. The front camera is tipped to use a 16MP sensor. Sensor names, image processing features and video capabilities have not been confirmed, so they should not be assumed.

9,000mAh Battery and 100W Charging

A 9,000mAh battery is among the most notable claims in the current rumour. The same report mentions 100W wired charging, but real-world battery life would also depend on the display, processor, software and usage. Charging speed and battery capacity remain unverified until OnePlus shares official specifications.

OnePlus 16R Price in India (Expected)

The reported price of around ₹70,000 is an early estimate, not a confirmed retail price. OnePlus has not announced the phone, variants, sale date or pricing. The final price, if the device launches, could differ from the current speculation.

OnePlus 16R India Launch and Availability

The report suggests a possible India launch in November or December 2026. This window is speculative, and there is no official launch date or availability confirmation. The current information also does not establish which software version an Indian model would run, so no operating system or interface version is listed here.

The reported memory and storage limits should be read as maximums, not a confirmed list of Indian variants. There is no verified breakdown of which RAM and storage combinations would be sold, whether all camera features would reach the final model, or how the phone would be positioned against other OnePlus devices. Those details can change before an official announcement. For context on another reported R-series phone, see the OnePlus 15R rumour; it is a separate device and does not confirm the 16R specifications.

For context on the brand’s existing phones, see the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5 specifications. Those are separate products and do not confirm any details about the rumoured 16R.

Conclusion

The OnePlus 16R is tipped to offer a 185Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, 200MP and 50MP rear cameras, and a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging. Its reported India launch window and ₹70,000 price are speculative. OnePlus has not officially confirmed the phone or these specifications.
