The official Poco Website (po.co) will be closing its doors by December 31, 2024, affecting all global and regional domains such as /global, /uk, and others. But don’t worry, the brand isn’t disappearing entirely. Instead, all Poco-related services will be relocated to Xiaomi’s official website, ensuring continuity without a hitch.

This move, while surprising, reflects Xiaomi’s broader plan to streamline its online presence. Xiaomi has always positioned Poco as a distinct brand alongside Redmi and its flagship line. Despite this, the overlap between Xiaomi and Poco has been clear, especially with the similarity of products.

Poco Website Shutdown: Transition Details

Starting from October 21, 2024, the transition will begin. Purchases and services will no longer be available on the Poco Website, and all customer support, products, and services will be moved to Xiaomi’s site (mi.com/global). By the end of the year 2024, the website shutdown will be complete, and users trying to access it will be redirected to Xiaomi’s platform.

Loyalty points and coupons earned on Poco will also be migrated to Xiaomi’s ecosystem. Fans won’t need to worry about losing benefits, as existing points and orders will remain valid. Moreover, user reviews and past purchase information from Poco will be transferred to the Xiaomi platform.

After December 31, users attempting to visit the Poco store or use the Poco Store app will be redirected to Xiaomi’s corresponding pages. However, the app itself will no longer function after the closure, marking the end of Poco’s independent digital presence.

In this move, Xiaomi is likely aiming to consolidate its brands under one roof. While Poco has been marketed as an independent brand since 2020, it has never truly operated autonomously. Many Poco devices share designs and features with Redmi phones, and this latest decision reinforces that shared DNA.

For now, Poco India appears to be unaffected by this change. The Poco Website serving India under the domain poco.in will continue to operate separately, at least for the time being.

As Poco Website closes globally, users can still rely on Xiaomi’s support for seamless transitions. Existing orders, loyalty points, and other services will remain intact on Xiaomi’s platform, ensuring fans continue to enjoy their favorite budget-friendly Poco devices.
