Step 1: Obtain a Unique Porting Code (UPC): Step to port out Jio to BSNL, you need a Unique Porting Code (UPC). Send an SMS from your Jio number to 1900 in the following format: PORT <Your 10-digit Mobile Number>
. For example, if your number is 9876543210, you would send PORT 9876543210
to 1900.
Step 2: Validity of the UPC: Once you receive your UPC, remember that it is valid for 15 days in most regions. However, in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and North East licensed areas, the UPC is valid for 30 days. Ensure you complete the porting process within this validity period. Step 3: Visit a BSNL Store or Authorized Retailer: With your UPC in hand, head to the nearest BSNL store or an authorized retailer. Bring your UPC, a passport-sized photograph, and a valid ID proof. At the store, you will fill out a Customer Application Form (CAF) and pay a nominal porting fee.

It’s important to note that once the Unique Porting Code (UPC) has been submitted, withdrawal is no longer possible. Additionally, any porting charges paid by the customer are non-refundable after withdrawal.
